Silence is not an option / Rita Ora among artists calling for an end to racism
Rita Ora, Little Mix, Nile Rodgers and Lewis Capaldi are among the VIPs who have written a letter calling for an end to racism.
More than 700 representatives from the music industry signed the letter, in which they say they want to show that "love, unity and friendship, not division and hatred, are always our common causes."
"Minorities of all faiths and backgrounds have suffered. From slavery to the Holocaust, we have painful collective memories. "All forms of racism have the same root: ignorance, lack of education and blaming the other," the statement said.
"We, the British music industry, are proudly joining in to raise our voices, take responsibility and stand together in solidarity. "Silence is not an option." - emphasizes the statement.
