Fashion shows are back, but according to a certain protocol
2020 was also a difficult year for the fashion industry, where the usual and pompous fashion events were replaced by digital shows on social networking platforms.
After a very silent season of fashion shows in September, the organizers have announced that the next events will take place with a small number of audiences.
According to the WWD, Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode (the organization that runs fashion events) fashion houses have the right to hold physical parades, where in addition to staff a very limited number of people can be present.
"The instructions from the Paris police headquarters stipulate that there should be no public participation, whether for fashion shows or any other event," said Pascal Morand, executive president of the Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode.
Filming will be allowed to take place, meaning that catwalk performances will continue to be streamed live on social media to the public and the wider audience.
