The Christmas old man wears a mask and can travel around the world with a travel permit, wrote today on Facebook the Italian Prime Minister, Giuseppe Conte, to provide the children of his country for the development of the end-of-year celebrations.
"The Christmas elder assured me that he already has an international travel certificate. "He can travel anywhere and distribute gifts to all the children in the world," Conte wrote in response to a five-year-old boy, Tommaso, who had sent him a letter urging him not to block "Babbo Natale".
"He confirmed to me that he always uses the mask and keeps the right distance, to protect himself and everyone he meets," he added.
"I am informing you that it will not be necessary for you to specify in your letter to the Christmas Elder that you have been heard and measured, because I have already told him."
Conte then invited the boy to place under the tree, in addition to hot milk and biscuits, a bottle of disinfectant gel.
