Soak the tomatoes for 2 minutes in water, drain and peel. Cut in half and remove the seeds, squeezing them carefully and grinding them thickly. Transfer to a deep dish, add oil, hot pepper, basil and garlic. Arrange for salt and stir well. Boil the pasta well in plenty of salted water. Drain, add the tomatoes, stir well, add the salted cheese and serve.
