Renowned stylist Pierre Cardin has passed away today at the age of 98 in a hospital west of Paris.
Born in Venice, he took his first steps in the fashion industry in 1946 as he worked alongside Christian Dior as a tailor in the fashion house he had just set up. Pierre Cardin spent four years there before opening his own fashion house.
He was known for his avant-garde style and his models of the so-called "Space Age". He made great strides in unisex fashion, making a kind of revolution in the industry.
